Sirri Gas Gathering and NGL Recovery
- Sirri Island, covering an area of approximately 18Â km2, is situated south of Bandar Lengeh and west of Abu Musa Island in the Persian Gulf. Spanning an area of 18Â hectares on this island, the Sirri NGL Project was executed to process associated petroleum gases (APG) and recover natural gas liquids (NGL) from both onshore and offshore fields in the Siri operational area. Commissioned in early 2013 (late 1391), the plant not only delivers significant economic value by monetizing associated gases that were flared for years, but also yields substantial environmental benefits through flare reduction and ecological preservation in the region.
- Oil Industries’ Engineering and Construction (OIEC) Group, beyond the complete execution of the project across Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) phases, successfully accomplished the Commissioning stage relying entirely on domestic expertise and without the presence of foreign vendor representatives.
- The project’s products include 3 million standard cubic meters per day (MMSCMD) of natural gas, 1,340 barrels per day (BPD) of gas condensate, 11,670 BPD of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), and 1,470 BPD of pentane.
